The early year doldrums continue on the home market front. Even though there are plenty of releases, including eight spotlight reviews, there are none that really jump out as Contenders for DVD Pick of the Week. Family Guy - Blue Harvest Special Edition could be called the best of a weak bunch, but odds are everything the disc will be included in a future release that will be a lot more competitively priced.
(On the other hand, if you want the cool physical extras, grab the Limited Edition release.)

There was only one member of the $10,000 club this week as Factory Girl pulled in nearly $90,000 in 3 theaters for an average of $29,159.
However, An Unreasonable Man came awfully close with $9,813 in its lone theater.

Busy week for limited releases and a busy week for websites, which explains why I'm wrapping things up at midnight. There wasn't a whole lot on this week's list that really attracted my attention, but I'm giving the Weekly Website Award to Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters - Official Site, mainly for their ... extracurricular activities of the viral marketers in Boston. And remember people, real bombs are meant to be inconspicuous, they won't sing you a song or make rude gestures at you.

The limited release market has been rather slow so far this year, but that changed this weekend with nearly a dozen films on this week's list. On the one hand, this means there is plenty of choice for moviegoers. On the other hand, there's no chance that all films will be able to live up to their potential given the competition.
