News Stories About The Secret of Kells

Alice Overtakes Kells on the Per Theater Chart

Just like last week, there were only two films to top $10,000 on the per theater chart. In fact, these were the same two films that managed the same feat last week. However, they finished in the opposite order with Alice in Wonderland taking the top spot with an average of $16,822 per theater while The Secret of Kells earned $12,537 in one theater.

There were only two films to top $10,000 on the per theater chart, but they both did amazingly well. The Secret of Kells led the way with $39,826 in one theater, including a sellout of all seven shows on Saturday. Second place went to the overall number one film, Alice in Wonderland, which earned an average of $31,143.

Secret Limited Releases

It's Oscar Weekend, which is just a horrible time to debut a limited release, as people who are more interested in seeing limited releases in theaters will also be interested to see what films will win Oscars. So it comes as no surprise there are so few films on this week's list.
