For the third weekend in a row NASCAR: The IMAX Experience earned more than $1 million. That's a feat not even Star Wars: Attack of the Clones could accomplish.

Still mostly relegated to documentaries and “edutainment”, DMR technology is allowing regular format movies to be converted to IMAX. Still without a runaway hit, it looks like they can at least be profitable in the long run. Especially when you factor in the long running time of many IMAX movies, 2 of the top five movies have been in the theatres for more than 2 years.
