News Stories About Tristram Shandy: A Cock and Bull Story

DVD Releases for July 11, 2006

2006-07-10

This week is not as slow as last week. Then again, I don't think it would be possible for it to be as slow. However, it is still not a strong week in terms of quantity, but at least the quality is there. Contenders for DVD Pick of the Week include 30 Days - Season 1 and Tristram Shandy: A Cock and Bull Story - Buy from Amazon. But in the end I went with a double-shot of Masters of Horror - Joe Dante - Homecoming and Our Hero - The Complete Series - Buy Direct.

This meant that despite Brokeback Mountain earning a better than initially reported $7.39 million, it was pushed out of the top five and into sixth place.

It's an interesting week for limited releases, not because of the films themselves, but because of their release schedule. Today, Bubble opens in limited release and makes its debut on cable TV, while it hits the home market on Tuesday.

During the past week promotional websites for several movies were launched and some older ones added additional content. The winner this week was Curious George - Official Site, which was extremely well done, although it is aimed at a very young audience.

Movie Website Updates for January 6 - January 12

2006-01-12

During the past week promotional websites for several movies were launched and some older ones added additional content. I can't say that it was a particularly busy week, but at least we had a site that was well deserving of recognition in Nanny McPhee - Official Site.

Movie Website Updates for November 26 - December 8

2005-12-08

During the past week promotional websites for several movies were launched and some older ones added additional content. Despite being there being two weeks between updates, this was not a very strong week. Sure, there were plenty of websites updated, but not a lot that really stood out as being award worthy. In the end it was Clerks 2: The Passion of the Clerks - Official Site that was the best of the bunch and hopefully it will continue to grow and earn that award.
