News Stories About Duck Season

DVD Releases for August 29, 2006

2006-08-28

A busy week with nearly 50 films making the list. Of those, there are more than half-a-dozen that are easily worth picking up and with several being contenders for DVD Pick of the Week. I was able to narrow it down to two, Arrested Development - Season 3 - Buy from Amazon and The Tick Vs. Season One - Buy from Amazon, with a couple of honorable mentions, Duck Season - Buy from Amazon and Friends with Money - Buy from Amazon.

Another Slow Weekend on the Per Theatre Charts

2006-03-14

For the second weekend in a row, no film was able to top the $10,000 mark. Ask the Dust came the closest with nearly $70,000 in 7 theatres for a per theatre average of $9,826.

Other new limited releases to chart in the top ten were The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things with a studio estimate of $10,000 in 2 theatres (final box office numbers should be in by the end of the week), and Duck Season with $25,000 in 6 theatres for an average of $4,110. On the other hand, Evil struggled with $2,448 in its lone theatre.

Limited Releases: Getting Your Ducks In A Row

2006-03-10

The weekend after Oscars should be a tough time to release a film with the Oscar winners trying to expand to take advantage of the Oscar Bounce. But with only two or three of the winners in any position to make a movie this weekend, the new limited releases have a chance to make an impact of their own.

Movie Website Updates for March 3 - March 9

2006-03-09

During the past week promotional websites for several movies were launched and some older ones added additional content. This week's winner was one of last week's best sites, She's the Man - Official Site, which added a lot of content this week including some old stuff that was off site for previous weeks.

Movie Website Updates for January 27 - February 2

2006-02-02

During the past week promotional websites for several movies were launched and some older ones added additional content. It was another slow week with nothing really grabbing my attention and nothing award-winning, (although there are a couple of sites that show promise). Hopefully some of the summer blockbusters will start launching flash sites so this slump can end.
