Aliens of the Deep
Current Content: An excellent IMAX site that pushes the educational aspect without taking away from the entertainment side. The site has the synopsis, extensive production notes, ‘cast’ and crew bios, a really cool image gallery and trailer.


Alone in the Dark
Current Content: I’m not psyched about the movie, but the website looks good. There’s plenty of mood and atmosphere and even an action game to play. Most of the regular features are here, with the exception of the cast and crew bios.


Are We There Yet?
Current Content: No changes for more than a month. And while it’s obvious a lot more work went into this sent than most, (especially with the video intros) it is only marginally more effective for it.


Assault on Precinct 13
Current Content: I don’t know who thought it was a good idea to have all the text on the site at a 20-degree angle, but they were wrong. On the plus side there’s plenty of multimedia on the site including 7 clips from the film.


Batman Begins
Current Content: The synopsis was added to the site, as was the international teaser poster.


Be Cool
Current Content: The site has really filled out since the last time it was on this list. The synopsis is new, as is the cast and crew list, (no bios) images and the highlight of the site, the nearly 3 dozen audio clips.


The Beast
Current Content: So far there’s just the synopsis and the teaser trailer, which is very heavy on the teaser aspect. There are also a newsletter you can sign up for and a forum that is quite active.


Beautiful Boxer
Current Content: No changes since the site first appeared on this list. Highlights include the extensive background information and the background music.


Beauty Shop
Current Content: The rest of the special features were added including the Beauty Shop Beaus, (e-cards) and Hair-o-scope, (a horoscope knock-off.)


Beowulf & Grendel
Current Content: It’s been a while since I mentioned this site, which is a shame since it is definitely a site worth looking at. Of particular interest are the interviews, especially the one with Sarah Polley talks about the, “sheer, demented ambition.”


BloodRayne
Current Content: The flash site has launched, but it is mostly a case of old information / new format. There are some new images that fans of the video game might be interested in.


Bride and Prejudice
Current Content: The flash site launched, but it’s a little light on content. Of course, it’s light-years ahead of most Miramax movie sites. The site only has the synopsis, cast bios, director bio, trailer and nearly a dozen audio clips.


The Cave
Current Content: So far there’s just the trailer and a short preview of the flash site, which looks to be incredibly interactive. If they do it right, this will easily be an award winning site well before all the content is added.


Citizen Verdict
Current Content: Most of the information on the site is shown in the animated intro with just the synopsis, short cast and character bios, crew list, image gallery and the trailer that I couldn’t get to work.


Constantine
Current Content: The placeholder site underwent a bit of a redesign and the synopsis and image gallery were added as well.


Dear Wendy
Current Content: Just the synopsis, director’s statement and the trailer, but at least the site using a great song for background music.


D.E.B.S.
Current Content: Just the synopsis so far.


Diary of a Mad Black Woman
Current Content: Another new flash site on this week’s list. This one’s a little light on content with just the synopsis, cast and crew bios, image gallery and the trailer. There are two other sections marked coming soon, downloads and Diary of a First Time Director.


Dot the I
Current Content: The animated intro is definitely the highlight of the site with just the synopsis, cast and crew bios, a few reviews, image gallery and trailer.


Fantastic Four
Current Content: This site is another case of huge potential with most features still marked coming soon. Right now it starts with a cool animated intro but there are just the synopsis, character bios, a few images and the teaser trailer on the site with the four video section, (one for each character) marked coming soon. The lack of content is mitigated by the sheer amount of animation and sound on the site, which includes an inventive, if not entirely practical menu system. I expect a lot more will be added between now and July 4th, in fact, I’m counting on it because mostly based on the potential, this site is the winner of the implausible Weekly Website Award.


Heights
Current Content: Another new flash site on this week’s list that is a little light on content. This one has the synopsis, production notes, cast and crew bios, image gallery and a trailer marked coming soon. On the other hand, it does have at least some sense of style.


Hide and Seek
Current Content: The flash site launched, but right now it’s just an elaborate, interactive intro and the trailer.


High Tension
Current Content: The synopsis, image gallery and trailer were added to the site with a section that is called Tension marked coming soon.


Hitch
Current Contents: Two of the regular features, synopsis and production notes, were added to the site as was a video jigsaw puzzle. Good site, but that background music is way too repetitive.


The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy
Current Content: I can view the site again. Nothing has changed but for a while all I was seeing was the Disney main site telling me Mozilla was an unsupported, non-standard browser.


The Honeymooners
Current Content: Just the synopsis, cast and crew, (no bios) and the trailer.


Hostage
Current Content: Just the synopsis and the trailer, but it’s still better than most Miramax movie sites.


Inside Deep Throat
Current Content: Just the synopsis, production note and the trailer.


The Jacket
Current Content: Just the synopsis.


King’s Ransom
Current Content: Just the trailer and an image gallery.


Kung Fu Hustle
Current Content: There’s a new site for international surfers, which is quite a bit faster than the old site. Also new are two more games and a few clips of the film’s premiere in different markets.


The Magic Roundabout
Current Content: A perfect site for kids young enough to be interested in the movie itself. There’s plenty for kids to see and so with character bios, a video clip for each character, handful of games, trailer and even a music video.


Mr. and Mrs. Smith
Current Content: Just the synopsis and the trailer so far.


The Pink Panther
Current Content: There’s a new placeholder site but clicking, “Enter Site” takes you to the old placeholder site, which now has a half-a-dozen images as well as the old content.


Pooh’s Heffalump Movie
Current Content: Good site for younger children with the usual features, synopsis, character bios, trailer and a couple of games. There are also several video clips marked coming soon.


The Ring 2
Current Content: There’s a new trailer on the site, or at least there’s an attempt to link to the new trailer on the site. Just delete the, “%20” at the end of the URL to get to the real trailer.


Robots
Current Content: So far the biggest new flash site on this week’s list. And even so there’s more features marked coming soon as there are currently on the site. The synopsis is there, cast and crew, (no bios), trailer and one game, (a tetris clone.) Marking coming soon are the downloads, media station, bot shots and two additional games.


Rock School
Current Content: For a site focused so much on music, it really has poor background music. Way too repetitive. The site also has the synopsis, bios of some of the people featured in the documentary, image gallery and a trailer marked coming soon.


Saving Face
Current Content: Just the image gallery so far, but you can download the presskit as well.


Schultze Gets the Blues
Current Content: The full site was launched and it has a simple understated charm about it. The usual features are there plus a look at the music, and food, seen in the movie.


Serenity
Current Content: There are some new images on the Browncoats site.


The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants
Current Content: Slight change in the placeholder site as the synopsis and poster were added.


Son of the Mask
Current Content: A couple of new games were added to the site, (boxing and pinball) as well as two coloring books.


Soul Searcher
Current Content: Quite a bit of information on this site, but little in the way of sound or animation. The synopsis is here, as is the cast, character and crew bios, very extensive production journal, image gallery, concept art, trailer and two making of videos. Had there been more sound and animation, this would have been a top-notch site.


Swimming Upsteam
Current Content: One of many new sites on this week’s list that is light on content. This one has just the synopsis, cast and crew, (no bios), image gallery and the trailer.


V For Vendetta
Current Content: Just a redirect to the Warner Bros. movie site.


War of the Worlds
Current Content: There was a redesign of the placeholder site including an intro that really hit my sub-woofer hard. Most site don’t take advantage of the sub-woofer enough so that’s pretty cool in itself. Also new is the very short synopsis and the teaser poster.


Watermarks
Current Content: Typical Kino movie site with the synopsis, cast and crew bios, image gallery and trailer.


Wild Side
Current Content: Typical WellSpring movie site with most of the content marked coming soon.
