On Saturday, the Directors Guild of America celebrated their 57th annual awards. And while there were many winners, only two awards were for theatrical releases.

In what some are calling a surprise, Clint Eastwood took top honors on Saturday night, winning the award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Motion Pictures for his work in Million Dollar Baby. The Aviator's director, Martin Scorsese was odds on favorite to win not only the DGA award, but also the Oscar, but events over the weekend may change that. It's been nearly 30 years since Scorsese earned his first DGA nomination, but in since then he has gone 0 for 6.

Other nominees in the category included Alexander Payne for Sideways, Taylor Hackford for Ray and Marc Forster for Finding Neverland.

The other theatrical award, Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Documentary, went to the film The Story of the Weeping Camel, which beat out Born into Brothels, Bright Leaves, Control Room and Fahrenheit 9/11.
