Movie Websites Launches for January 28 - February 3

During the past week promotional websites for several movies were launched and some older ones added additional content. Here the list of this week's releases, a couple of new sites and few updates, including this week's winner, Dear Wendy - Official Site. If you know of any new movie websites not on this list feel free to e-mail me with the details.

Aeon Flux
Current Content: Nothing but the logo so far.

Assisted Living
Current Content: Simple site with most of the regular features, synopsis, cast and crew list, etc., but not much in the way of flash.

Boogeyman
Current Content: No changes for a while, which means with just one day before the movie opens the cast and crew bios are still not on the site. This site does have a lot of background information on the Boogeyman, almost at the expense of information on the movie itself.

Constantine
Current Content: This flash site launched this week and it does have most of the usual features, synopsis, cast bios, image gallery, trailer. There are a couple of features marked coming soon, (crew bios and production notes) as well as fan art, which is a more unique feature. The level of sound and animation on the site are good, but not enough to make the site stand out against many other flash sites.

Dear Wendy
Current Content: The site underwent a complete redesign during the past week and now the site is huge filled with video clips. Each of the principle cast members have an interview clip, so do three of the crew, and on the Temple page all six members of the Dandies have two clips, one from the movie and another behind the scenes clip. Besides the nearly 20 video clips, the site also has the usual features, synopsis, cast, crew and character bios, image gallery and trailer. Add in some animation, a really cool song for background music and a couple of interactive features and you have the winner of the high-caliber Weekly Website Award.

Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo
Current Content: The placeholder site has a new design and the trailer was added.

The Jacket
Current Content: The flash site launched this week and immediately I noted that the images used for the background can sometimes be to bright and therefore make the white text difficult to read. Aside from that problem, the site is well done with most of the regular features as well as a message board and a section for buzz marked coming soon.

Man of the House
Current Content: Just the trailer so far.

MirrorMask
Current Content: The trailer was added to the site leaving just the players and promotion sections still marked coming soon. This film certainly looks very unique, but I fear that will scare the studio into not giving it the support it deserves.

Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous
Current Content: An image gallery was added to the site, so were several other sections marked coming soon, (About the Film, Games, Soundtrack and Partners.)

Nobody Knows
Current Content: Typical IFC website with even less content than usual.

The Nomi Song
Current Content: Simple site with a lot of information but almost no flash, and considering how flashy Klaus Nomi was, this is greatly disappointing.

Open Season
Current Content: Just the name and a little, tiny bit of animation.

Probed
Current Content: Just the animated intro so far.

The Ring 2
Current Content: The section called Mother is no longer marked coming soon, however, when I click on it, nothing happens. Probably browser issues.

Rory O'Shea Was Here
Current Content: Simple site with just the basic, synopsis, cast and crew bios, etc. There are some clips, but with the movie opening tomorrow there are still marked coming soon.

Sons of Provo
Current Content: There's a lot of information on this site and plenty of extras. Since the movie focuses on the search for a new member of a boy band there's little surprise that there's a focus on the music on the site. They have the lyrics for all ten songs on the soundtrack and 30 second clips for each of them as well.

Spider-Man 3
Current Content: They've added a countdown to the release date of Spider-Man 3, which is currently 819 days, 6 hours away.

Swimming Upstream
Current Content: Pretty simple site with just the synopsis, cast and crew list, (no bios), image gallery and trailer.

The Wedding Date
Current Content: Four clips were added to the site just in time for tomorrow's release.

Wolf Creek
Current Content: Just the short animated intro so far.
