Nobody Leads Per Theater Charts

February 8, 2005

This week we again have only one film in the $10,000 club, as Nobody Knows easily topped the per theater charts with a $16,197 average in just two theaters. That was nearly double the second place film, and last week's winner, Raging Bull.

This past week also saw some milestones reached for several Per Theatre Charts alumni:

  • The Merchant of Venice has had a rather low-key run so far, but it did hit $1 million over the weekend.
  • House of Flying Daggers made it all the way to $10 million. However, that will be the last milestone it reaches.
  • Also reaching $10 million over the weekend was Hotel Rwanda. Unlike the previous film, this one is still growing and should continue reaching milestones.
  • After missing the top ten for 14 straight weeks, Sideways snagged 8th place two weeks in a row. It also beat $45 million over the weekend, and is on pace to become Alexander Payne's biggest box office hit, topping About Schmidt before its run is done.
