The Amityville Horror
There's a new trailer, but they are still pushing the claim that this is based on a true story. "What happened over the next 28 days has never been explained." It was a hoax. The people who bought the house needed the money and the lawyer for DeFeo was trying to get a retrial. This was proven before the first movie came out. It makes me think they have to push the Based on a True Story because they have no other way of marketing the movie.

Bad News Bears
Just the synopsis and the trailer. Billy Bob Thornton looks great in the role, but it's a little close to his Bad Santa role.

Dot the I
Just an average site with all the usual information plus enough animation to keep the surfer's attention. It's not a bad site when viewed on its own, but when you surf over 100 sites a week like I do for this column a site needs to have more than just the regular features to stand out. And the only aspect that stands out is the background music, which is definitely growing on me. It does only place once and doesn't loop, but its long enough that that shouldn’t be a problem for most people.

Fevered Pitch

Guess Who
The last of the interactive features were added and they are excellent. The first game is a relationship quiz; you answer several questions and then send it to your significant other to see if they know how you'd respond. The second is a game is called Blink Poker, but has very little to do with Pokers; you each are dealt one card but can't see your own and you bet based on if you think you have the highest card. Game two is a driving range game where you compete against The Old Man, once you get the hang of it its pretty easy to hit 279, which is the maximum you can get, but it's more fun to try and match his score so you get the best quotes. Lastly, there's Go-Karts race, which is also against the old man and is the most action oriented of the three Bootcamp Games. All in all it's an excellent site and just missed winning the award this week. Give it an honorable mention.

Herbie: Fully Loaded
New trailer is up. Just finished watching it and I've got to say, some of the special effects are really poorly done, especially when Herbie drives over the other car. Let's hope they are not the finished shots and the real deal will look much more polished.

Hostage
It's a Miramax site, but with just a pinch more style than the typical drag site they have.

Ice Princess
The Fun Stuff section was added, but right now it's just a place to post your dreams and goals with the section to reads other marked coming soon. Hopefully by next week when the movie opens that section will be added as will the movie clips, movie surfers clip and two music videos.

In My Country
No changes since the site was first on this list.

Kicking and Screaming
So far it's just the synopsis, cast and crew, (no bios) image gallery and trailer. After watching the trailer I fear that Will Ferrell might have become typecast for life.

Lords of Dogtown
Been a long time since there was an update on this site. Granted, it's not a big update, mostly just the same content with a different format, but at least it's something.

Mad Hot Ballroom
No new content, but a slightly different look.

Mail Order Wife
Looks like there's no updates since the site was first on the list.

Millions
No changes for a while.

Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous
The new flash site is up and there's a huge amount to read and do. The usual features are there, synopsis, cast and crew bios, image gallery and trailer. Plus there's a ton of extras like interviews with some of the cast, crew and even characters, which are spread throughout the five magazines you can read. There's also a couple of card games to play, Blackjack and Texas Hold'em, (warning, the computer players in Hold'Em tend to be a little loose with their chips.) Add in several audio clips and different background music for different sections and you have the winner of the cordial Weekly Website Award.

Off the Map
A relatively simple site will all the usual features and just a touch of animation. The most unique feature on the site is a short clip from the Sundance Channel's Anatomy of a Scene.

Palindromes
Typical WellSpring movie site.

Robots
On the one hand, this site has most of the usual features, (missing the bios) plenty of sound and animation and even some games. However, I was expecting more. Outside the mini-games there's only an illusion of interactivity, the main feature was a little small with only four section to explore, etc. It's still a good site, just not quite up to my expectations and not quite up to the level needed to win this week's award.

Sin City
Two more games were added to the site, Drive and Escape. In Drive you have to tail another car without getting too close or you're spotted and shot. In Escape you have to wiggle the mouse around the guys feet till you power up and then try and bust the door down.

The Upside of Anger
A deceptively simple site. On the face of it there are just four sections to check out: synopsis, cast and crew bios, trailer and downloads. However, nearly every image can be clicked to switch to another image, hear some sound, (baseball being hit) or see some animation. Adds a bit of charm to an otherwise very simple site.

V For Vendetta
The site just went active this week and the press conference has been added to the site. There's the transcript, eight audio clips and almost a dozen video clips. Plus the site has the press release, the cast and crew bios and image gallery. Should be plenty more updates as production is under way.
