A handful of films crossed the $10,000 mark this past weekend led by The 11th Hour with just over $60,000 in 4 theaters for an average of $15,213. This is an impressive, but well below the opening of An Inconvenient Truth, which averaged more than The 11th Hour made in total. Send a Bullet was second with an estimated $13,000 in one theater. The overall box office leader, Superbad, placed third, averaging $11,212 in just under 3,000 theaters. The King of Kong was the only other film to top $10,000 and the third documentary to reach that milestone this weekend. It earned just over $50,000 in 5 theaters for an average of $10,299.

Death at a Funeral didn't hit $10,000, but it did come closer that expected with an average of $4,935 in 260 theaters. That might not be enough to expand significantly, but good reviews could help it stick around longer than most. Sunflower also did reasonably well with $4,195 while Delirious was close behind with $3,806. A trio of films finished within a few percentage points of each other with Splinter pulling in $3,167, Primo Levi's Journey with $3,151, and Love for Sale with $3,058. 7 Days was well back with just $1,319 and American Fusion with $1,067.

This past week also saw milestones reached for a few Per Theater Chart alumni:

• The Golden Door reached $1 million before the weekend, but that's as far as it will go.
• Death at a Funeral opened with more than $1 million, but that won't be the last milestone it will hit.
• As expected, Rescue Dawn did make it to $5 million over the weekend, which is good for a limited release. But that's as far as it will go.
• Becoming Jane reached $5 million since last week and will reach $10 million by next week.
