New releases dominated this week's sales chart, taking the first seven spots, including the new number one, We Are... Marshall. That DVD sold 449,000 units for opening week sales of $7.18 million. Grindhouse Presents - Death Proof - Extended and Unrated - Two-Disc Special Edition sold fewer units at 368,000, but its opening week sales were stronger at $8.24 million. Family Guy - Volume 5 was the first of several TV on DVD releases to chart this week and earned third place with 293,000 units sold for total sales of $7.62 million. Fourth place went to The Condemned with 268,000 units sold while its first week sales of $5.37 million was close to its total theatrical run. The final DVD in the top five was the direct-to-DVD release Barbie as The Island Princess with 246 / $3.44 million in sales.

Just missing the top five was Superman - Doomsday with 237,000 / $3.32 million in sales. Smallville - Season 6 was right behind, at least in terms of units, with 229,000 sold. However, in terms of dollars, it had the best sales of the week with $8.47 million. The next new release was Stargate Atlantis - The Complete Third Season, which placed 14th with 52,000 units sold for sales of $1.69 million. Finally, Lucky You barely made 30th place with 32,000 units sold for sales of just $646,000.
