Cloverfield landed on top of the rental charts leading a group of five new releases with $7.52 million in rentals. Juno slipped in second place with $6.93 million for the week and $15.31 million after two. Just behind that film was Charlie Wilson's War, which opened with $6.67 million in rentals. Placing fourth was Aliens vs. Predator - Requiem with $6.34 million for the week and $14.00 million in total while There Will Be Blood has earned $21.36 million after three weeks, including $5.77 million this past week.

As it did on the sales chart, One Missed Call placed seventh, this time earning $4.67 million in rentals. The Savages also charted with $3.32 million, which was good enough for 16th place. The Orphanage opened in 25th place with a disappointing total of $2.07 million.
