Weak new releases allowed Vantage Point to remain on top of the rental charts with fellow holdover Drillbit Taylor placing second. The best of the new releases was The Ruins, which placed third. Meanwhile, Stop-Loss just beat out 10,000 B.C. for fourth place.

The only other new release to chart was Superhero Movie!, which placed eighth. This is significantly weaker than its position on the sales chart.
