There were a boatload of were new releases on the rental charts this week, including the new number one renter, The Bank Job, which generated nearly 50% more revenue than its nearest competitor. Meanwhile, Step Up 2 The Streets and College Road Trip were neck and neck in second and third place. The best of the holdovers, Vantage Point was even closer behind, leaving Drillbit Taylor to close out the top five.

There was only one other new release to reach the top ten and it was Shutter in seventh place. Penelope opened in 13th place, which was much weaker than it managed on the sales chart, while Meet Bill opened in 16th place.
