No Secret to Mystic River's Success
The latest movie directed by Clint Eastwood had an amazing opening last weekend. Mystic River earned $640,815 in just 13 theatres for an average of nearly $50,000 per theatre average. That was head and shoulders above its nearest competitor and bodes well for when it opens nationwide next weekend.
The Station Agent dropped to second place with a $14,397 average in 3 theatres. While this is a good result, it is doubtful The Station Agent will have much success outside the Art house circuit.
