Under the Sea 3-D opened in IMAX theaters nationwide on Friday with a total of $661,000 over the three-day weekend and $919,000 over four. This gives the film an average of $13,490 / $18,757, which is a solid start for an edutainment release like this.

Coming up next for IMAX is Watchmen, which debuts in March, while Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince should be the biggest hit on IMAX this year when it opens in July.
