Crude topped the per theater charts with $16,595 in its one theater. The overall box office leader, I Can Do Bad All By Myself, also topped the $10,000 mark with an average of $10,398.
Another documentary, No Impact Man, was the best of the rest of new releases with an average of $7,608 in two theaters. White on Rice was next with $4,040, which is barely half as much. Beyond a Reasonable Doubt was close behind with an average of $3,433. Give Me Your Hand opened with $2,434. Walt and El Grupo just topped the Mendoza Line with an average of $2,020, while Broken Hill was not nearly as lucky with an average of just $670.
This past week also saw milestones reached for a few Per Theater Chart alumni:
- My One and Only hit $1 million during its fourth weekend of release. Its weekend numbers have peaked, but it should still reach $2 million.
- On the other hand, The September Issue had its best weekend of its run and hit $1 million in the process. It has a chance of hitting $2 million by this time next week, but even if it doesn't, it will get there shortly after.
- Adam topped $2 million, but it only has a slim chance at getting to $3 million.
- (500) Days of Summer has now reached $30 million.
