Ghosts of Girlfriends Past led all new releases topping the rental chart this week with more than twice the number of rentals as X-Men Origins - Wolverine managed. Observe and Report opened in third place, just as it did on the sales chart. State of Play slipped another spot to fourth, while Crank 2 - High Voltage rounded out the top five.

Only two other releases opened in the top 30 this week and they were Scooby Doo! The Mystery Begins in 16th place and Battle for Terra in 18th place.

The total rentals were down 6.1% from last week to $146.8 million, but that was 2.3% higher than the same week last year.
