As it did on the sales chart, Monsters vs. Aliens led the way on the rental chart this week, topping all new releases with relative ease. Ghosts of Girlfriends Past was pushed into second place with roughly 40% fewer rentals, while X-Men Origins - Wolverine was relatively close behind. Management opened in fourth place, which is definitely a case of "try before you buy," as it opening in 28th place on the sales chart. Observe and Report fell to fifth place.

There was a string of so-so releases also reaching the chart this week starting with Lies & Illusions in seventh place. The Brothers Bloom got a jump on the sales with an early release and landed in tenth place on the rental chart with Away We Go one spot behind in eleventh place. Hills Run Red earned 17th place during its opening week and finally Shrink debuted in 19th place.
