There were five new releases to reach the top 30 this past week, including three that reached the top five. The best rental overall was The Proposal with close to double the rentals of Land of the Lost. Year One was just a fraction ahead of Monsters vs. Aliens for third and fourth place. Drag Me To Hell opened in fifth place.

The next best new release was American Violet, which placed 16th, while Katt Williams - Pimpadelic opened in 20th place.
