Bond Passes the $200 million mark internationally, breaks franchise record.
Screen Daily is reporting that the latest James Bond flick, Die Another Day has passed the $200 million mark from international Box Office. Combined with its domestic gross of more than $156 million, the $360 worldwide is the highest for the 40 years old series. And there are more milestones for Die Another Day to cross. It is still well back of Goldeneye’s series leading international gross. In 1995, Goldeneye, which was the first movie to showcase Pierce Brosnan as James Bond and revitalized the series, made nearly $250 million internationally.
Can Die Another Day surpass that number? Only time will tell, but it has yet to open in a number of countries, including Argentina, Hong Kong and one of the largest international markets - Japan.
