Yo Gabba Gabba!: Clubhouse - Buy from Amazon

I have reviewed several Yo Gabba Gabba! DVDs now and like the previous releases, Clubhouse has four episodes of music and adventures from DJ Lance, Muno, Foofa, Brobee, Toodee, and Plex. The four episodes are...

  1. Clubhouse
Brobee and Muno are building a clubhouse, with the help of DJ Lance. Once the clubhouse is built, Foofa and Toodee want to join, but this clubhouse is for Super Adventure Club members only. Brobee and Muno are the only two members. So Foofa and Toodee decide to make their own clubhouse, with the help of Plex. But when Brobee and Muno come by, will they let them play inside?
  2. Adventure
DJ Lance is talking about going on an adventure and Muno really wants to go on one. He doesn't know where to begin, until he finds a hidden tunnel behind a rock. Now he and the rest of the gang are on their way to hidden pyramid. A parody of Raiders of the Lost Ark ensues.
  3. Summer
It's summer and DJ Lance is helping the gang with summertime activities, like popping bubbles. Magic, talking bubbles. Creepy. They sing and dance about other things you can do in the summer, like go to a pool party, make lemonade, etc.
  4. Animals
It's animal day in Gabbaland and the gang are looking for new animals. Foofa is the expert and she can tell what the animal is by the sounds it makes and the tracks it leaves. The gang goes looking for new animals.
A lot of recurring bits appear in these four episodes, including Super Martian Robot Girl, Mark's Magic Pictures, Dancey Dance Time, and of course The Super Music Friends Show, which makes an appearance in every episode. And of course music plays a huge role in this show. Both Clubhouse and Animals have good music, as opposed to the kid's music that is in most similar shows.

There are no extras on the DVD. Nor are there subtitles. There are proper chapter placements and a play-all button.

The Verdict

Yo Gabba Gabba!: Clubhouse is another solid entree in the show's growing DVD catalogue. If you were happy with the previous releases, then this one is also worth picking up. However, I think Nick should include more episodes, some extras, and bonus episodes from other shows to improve the overall value.
