Yo Gabba Gabba!: Circus - Buy from Amazon

Yo Gabba Gabba! is the continuing adventure of Muno, Foofa, Brobee, Toodee, and Plex, who are friendly, happy, green, fun, and magic, respectively. With the help of DJ Lance Rock, the five friends have fun and learn a lot over the course of four episodes, starting with...

  1. Circus
The circus is coming to town and the ringmaster is played by... oh my... "Weird Al" Yankovic. Greatest. Episode. Ever. Unfortunately for Weird Al, he's a ringmaster without a circus, but that's where the Yo Gabba Gabba gang can come in.
  2. Treasure
Edith and Larry, two friends of Plex, have come to hunt for treasure. However, while they have a compass that's pointing them to the treasure, they don't actually know what the treasure is. Muno thinks it might be a purple horse. Hmmm, I wonder if it would taste like raisins.
  3. Flying
Brobee really wants to fly, but it looks like no one will be able to help him with his dream. The birds can't teach him to fly. And even after Plex gives him a pair of wings can he get off the ground? But then DJ Lance gives him a giant balloon called Balloonie, and they fly into the clouds. But who will they meet when they get there?
  4. Fun
The gang's going to have fun today, but in order to have fun, you have to start the day with a breakfast that includes singing pancakes and bacon. But before they can all have fun, they have to explain to Plex what fun is.
Several of the recurring bits make appearances in these episodes, including Mark's Magic Pictures, Biz's Beat of the Day, Cool Tricks, and of course, Dancey Dance Time. Some of the dancers featured on this DVD are Sarah Silverman, Martin Starr, John Francis Daley, and Samm Levine.

The Verdict

I have to admit, when a screener for Yo Gabba Gabba! arrives in the mail, I actually look forward to watching it, and that's not common for most shows aimed at preschoolers. The music is good and the guest stars are fun and if you and your kids enjoyed the previous DVDs, then Circus is also worth adding to your collection.
