Dora the Explorer: Dora's Easter Adventure - Buy from Amazon

The latest Dora The Explorer DVD, Dora's Easter Adventure, features three episodes, including the Easter special that gives the DVD its name. What are the other episodes found on the DVD and are there enough extras to make it worth picking up?

The Show

  1. Dora's Easter Adventure
It's Easter and Dora and Boots are celebrating and waiting for the Hip Hop bunny to arrive with the eggs they need for their Easter egg hunt. When the Hip Hop bunny arrives, he's being followed by Swiper the Fox, who steals the basket of eggs and throws them away. He threw them into the rainbow river, which is beyond the flower garden and the petting zoo. Will they get there in time, or will it fall down the waterfall first?
  2. The Gumpy Old Troll Gets Married
The Grumpy Old Troll is far from grumpy, as he's getting married to Petunia. Boots is in charge of the cake and Dora's acting as the ring girl. However, the Troll forgot the rings. Now Dora, Boots, and the Troll have to race to the Troll's grandmother's place to get the rings, while getting ready for his wedding.
  3. Dora in Troll Land
Dora and Boots are heading to the new playground, but they have to go over the troll bridge to get there. When they get there, Benny the Bull, Isa, and Rico are there and waiting for the Troll, but the The Grumpy Old Troll isn't there. They hear him shouting for help, so Dora and Boots head to Troll Land to help him. He's stuck in a hole, and Dora and Boots need to get past a lot of rhyming things to get to him.

The Extras

You can watch Dora's Easter Adventure in interactive mode, which has additional questions from time to time. There are five songs you can play in Karaoke mode (with or without vocals).

The Verdict

The price-per-minute for Dora the Explorer: Dora's Easter Adventure is a little high compared to most preschool shows. The extras are also better, so I would call it even. If you kids are fans of the show and you are looking for an Easter DVD for them to watch, then it is worth picking up.
