Yo Gabba Gabba!: Super Spies - Buy from Amazon

Yo Gabba Gabba! is one of the most popular preschool shows around, so much so is that it has following among college students as well. There have been a number of single-disc DVD releases that have come out in the past five years since the show came out, nearly all of them following the exact same format of four episodes with usually no extras. So what episodes are found here?

  1. Super Spies
The episode begins with a balloon sculpture party, but they get interrupted by the The Super Music Friends Show. But it wasn't the The Super Music Friends Show, but a distraction by the Bad Spy, who stole all of the balloons. Now there can't be any party, not unless the gang can become Super Spies and get their balloons back.
  2. Mystery
When Muno loses his hat, D.J. Lance comes down to Gabbaland to help look for it. It's not the only mystery of the episode, as Toodee and Plex have to follow a trail to a mysterious picnic.
  3. Space
D.J. Lance turns the day into night so the gang in Gabbaland can look at the stars. When Brobee can't point out his favorite star, Plex builds a telescope to show him his star, which turns out to be a planet. After that, D.J. Lance gives them a spaceship so they can visit Brobee's planet.
  4. Big
Toodee, Muno, and Brobee are playing a game of pass, but Brobee is upset as he's too small to play. Despite encouraging words from Toodee and Muno, he really wants to be big. Will he get his wish? And how will it turn out?
Of course there are several of the recurring bits that make appearances in these episodes, while guest stars include Jason Bateman, Jack McBrayer, Ladytron, Jem and more.

The Extras

There are no extras on the DVD.

The Verdict

Super Spies is the latest Yo Gabba Gabba! release and it has the similar price-per-minute as other releases aimed at the same target audience. It is a better show than most similar shows, but I wish there were extras on the DVD.
