There was only one film able to top $10,000 on the per theater chart, as Stoker earned an average of $22,935 in seven theaters. Its reviews were only good and not great, so I'm not sure how well it will do next week.

There were a couple of other new limited releases that did well with Leviathan and Hava Nagila: The Movie earning $8,900 and $8,218 respectively. They were both playing in one theater each. War Witch was merely okay in its American debut with an average of $4,357 in two theaters. Welcome to Pine Hill was a little behind with $3,629 in its lone theater. A Place at the Table opened in 35 theaters, which is a lot, and that explains why it only managed an opening per theater average of $2,636. The Condemned was right behind with $2,511 in one theater. The Lost Medallion: The Adventures of Billy Stone is a kids film and it opened in 68 theaters, which is two strikes against it. It managed to avoid the Mendoza Line, but barely, with an average of $2,111. The Sweeney was not as lucky with an average of $1,847 in 11 theaters. A Fierce Green Fire opened with just $1,266 in its one theater. Finally, The End of Love earned an average of $978 in two theaters.

This past week also saw milestones reached for a couple Per Theater Chart alumni:

• Rust & Bone topped $2 million over the weekend. This is as far as it will go, but this is still fantastic for a foreign language film.
• The 2013 Oscar Shorts became the first in the franchise to get to $2 million.
• Quartet had the legs to get to $10 million just before the weekend, while one can't rule out $15 million.
• Silver Linings Playbook got to $110 million over the weekend and it is now the 27th biggest hit released in 2012.
