Per Theater Chart: Most Limited Releases have a Rough Time

From the Rough poster

It was not a good week on the per theater chart, as only one film topped the $10,000 mark. That film was Locke, which earned an average of $20,252 in four theaters.

The rest of the new limited releases were well back. The German Doctor was the best of the rest earning an average of $6,852 in five theaters. Blue Ruin and Young and Beautiful opened with nearly identical averages of $4,658 and $4,607 respectively. Bicycling with Moliere was next with $3,896 in its lone theater. For No Good Reason really struggled with an average of $2,258 in two theaters. There were three limited releases that missed the Mendoza line, starting with Uvanga, which earned $1,684 in one theater. Last Passenger was well back with an average of $933 in ten theaters. Finally, there's From the Rough, which had a rough opening earning an average of $769 in nearly 200 theaters.

This past week also saw milestones reached for a couple of Per Theater Chart alumni:
