Synopsis

The often larger than life Amy is a vivacious and beautiful gourmet chef who is obsessed with cooking, overeats as a bulimic and uses food as a tool to dominate, be desired and control intimacy. She has imaginary dreams of hosting her own television food show. Growing up she was infatuated with her neighbor Saffron, a former child star who is now a sad, tragic and lonely introvert. A recluse and anorexic, her struggle with food has its roots in a traumatized past with her domineering, unloving stage mother. Filled with sorrow and regret, she is unable to experience intimacy. They each cross over to the other's world, realizes who the other person is, and sees a bit of herself in that other person, albeit too late.
