Synopsis

Seventeen-year-old Daniela is obsessed with sex. But her self-proclaimed “pussy in flames” is in direct conflict with her well-to-do, strict evangelical family in Santiago, Chile. She finds an outlet by detailing her naughty ruminations and exploits on her blog "Young & Wild" to her eager online followers. She dates handsome and pious Tomas, but maybe Antonia, the really cute girl at work, is more her speed. As she struggles to balance both relationships, Daniela learns that having it all - sex, love and eternal salvation - is more complicated than she ever imagined.

DVD and Blu-ray Releases for April 30th, 2013

April 30th, 2013

Like I mentioned last week, this week the biggest release on the home market is Silver Linings Playbook, while there are a couple other sizable releases, like Star Trek: The Next Generation: Season Three on Blu-ray. However, you quickly run into filler as you look down the list. Fortunately, Silver Linings Playbook is such a great movie that the Blu-ray Combo Pack would be Pick of the Week material, even during a busy week. It is not the only contender for that title. Even sight unseen, Kyatto-Ninden Teyandee Complete Series Megaset comes a close second, while Star Trek: The Next Generation: Season Three earned that title last week. More...

Featured DVD Review: Young and Wild

Young and Wild is a Chilean film that opened in limited release late last year. There were almost no reviews and it failed to reach the Mendoza Line during its opening weekend. Did it deserve better? And is the DVD worth picking up? More...

Per Theater Chart: New Releases are a Little Rusty

December 4th, 2012

It was a rather slow week on the per theater chart with only two films topping the $10,000 mark, and none of them were massive hits. Rust and Bone rose to first place with an average of $12,369 in two theaters. It rose to top spot thanks to a miniscule 9% drop-off. The only other member of the $10,000 club was Beware of Mr. Baker, which was right behind with $12,195 in its lone theater. More...
