DVD Rentals - Street is Kings of the Rentals

September 3rd, 2008

New releases did well on the rental charts, but they did not dominate in the way they did on the sales chart. We still had a new number one as Street Kings topped the charts with nearly double the revenue of its nearest competitor. More...

DVD Releases for August 19, 2008, Part I

August 18th, 2008

This is the week that Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour makes its debut on DVD and Blu-ray. This movie was a huge hit theatrically, so it will be interesting to see how well it sells on the home market. However, while it is certainly a very good deal, I'm not sure it is a real contender for DVD Pick of the Week. Movie Website Reviews for Weekend of April 18, 2008

April 20th, 2008

Fortunately, it is clearly at that level and it has everything one could need including plenty of information, sound & animation, and even a game. More...

Where in the World are the Limited Releases

April 18th, 2008

There are plenty of limited releases this week, but none are earning amazing reviews. In fact, most are earning below 50% positive. Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden should be the biggest hit of the weekend, at least in terms of raw dollars, but I not even prepared to guess which one could be the big hit on the per theater chart.
