Synopsis

It is the summer of '66, and England is about to be consumed by World Cup Fever. For 12-year-old Bernie though, the biggest day of his life is looming: his Bar Mitzvah, and the day he becomes a man. However, Bernie’s family is increasingly distracted by the threat of losing their business and their wayward older son, and the scale of Bernie’s Bar Mitzvah diminishes daily. Worst of all the Cup Final is scheduled to take place on the same day and when England makes it through the qualifying rounds, Bernie's longed-for Bar Mitzvah looks set to be a complete disaster.

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor opened with an average of $10,760 in 3,760 theaters. Frozen River barely reached the $10,000 mark with an average of $10,033 in 7 theaters, although it wasn't as close as The Dark Knight was, as that film earned an average of $10,001. More...

Only half a dozen limited releases this week, but that includes one that is opening in more than 100 theaters. There's little hope for most of these films, especially the one opening in select cities. Additionally, Beer for My Horse has some mixed signals with regards for its release, with its official site saying it is coming out next week on the 8th. If the site is wrong, that movie is in a whole lot of trouble. More...
