DVD and Blu-ray Releases for December 8th, 2009

December 8th, 2009

According to Amazon, there are about 300 DVDs and Blu-ray being released or re-released this week and about half of them are Harry Potter releases. Well, maybe not, but it almost feels that way. The only one of these that is really worth picking up is Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - Blu-ray; in fact, it is the DVD Pick of the Week. Second place went to Three Monkeys with $8,818 in just one theater. More...

May 1st, 2009

A very weak list of limited releases this week. Of the six films, three are documentaries, four are earning poor to terrible reviews, and the other two have two reviews, combined. None really have a shot at expanding wide. The Canadian documentary Act of God is likely the best bet in terms of quality, but 90% of the people reading this live in the wrong country to see it.
