Just as it did on the sales chart, 3:10 to Yuma was the best on the rental charts. It was part of a group of six new releases to chart, and pulled in $10.76 million during its first week of release.

We are back to a relatively normal level of DVD releases this week, including a few that are worth considering for DVD Pick of the Week.
Both 3:10 to Yuma on Blu-Ray and The Riches - Season 1 on DVD are prime contenders.
If you don't have Blu-Ray, it's the latter, while if you do, it's the former.

The first weekend of the New Year brings us only one wide release, One Missed Call, which is the target film in this week's box office prediction contest. In order to win, one must simply predict the film's opening weekend box office.
Whoever comes the closest to predicting the film's opening 3-day weekend box office (Friday to Sunday), without going over, will win a copy of Smiley Face on DVD.
Meanwhile, whoever comes the closest to predicting the film's opening 3-day weekend box office (Friday to Sunday), without going under, will win a copy of Naked Brothers Band - Season 1 on DVD.
In addition, both the above winners will also win Jimmy and Judy on DVD.

A rather mixed bag of limited releases this week with a couple that were pushed back from earlier, wide releases and a couple of busted Oscar bait movies. This leaves only a handful of movies worth checking out, including a pair of documentaries: I for India and What Would Jesus Buy?.

Big list in terms of numbers, not so much in terms of quality. In fact, the best film in terms of updates this week was The Simpsons Movie - Official Site, which has already won the Weekly Website Award. Because of that, there are no new winners this week.

One of the last summer blockbusters launched its full site this week. This means two things, The Bourne Ultimatum - Official Site is the clear winner of the weekly website award. Still waiting sites for the big summer blockbusters to come online. In the meantime, this week is relatively busy, but with only a couple sites that look like they could be award-worthy once the features are added. The best of the best, and I use that term loosely, is Norbit
- Official Site
with a site that could be more entertaining than the movie it promotes.
