Review by Nonia Bidness

We Miss you Andy

Pros: good coverage of Andy's career
Cons: no one can play him well enough!

Warning: This review reveals minor details about the movie's plot

I felt sadly let down after seeing this film, and I finally figured out why. I wanted it to bring me Andy Kaufman back. The man was a comic genius, albeit a somewhat strange personality, who always had things cooking.

I thought Jim Carrey did as good a job as someone could who was not Andy Kaufman. He even managed to look like Andy at times. He could not get his Elvis to be as spot-on perfect as Andy's and there was a lot of time when I just ached for the real Andy as I watched Jim try his best to be him, throughout the movie.

I can't put more of a finger on why I felt a little disappointed by this one. Other than just plain missing someone I never really knew, but dearly loved and deeply miss.
