Plot Summary

This film focuses on Helen McCarter's (Kimberly Elise) journey to recovery after her husband of many years literally tosses her from her home and asks for a divorce. Helen finds support and comic relief from her gun toting, pot smoking, and much beloved grandmother figure, Madea (Tyler Perry) as she navigates her path to love and recovery.
