Synopsis

Sixty Six is a British comedy set in the summer of 1966 when England is about to be consumed by the international phenomenon of soccer's World Cup fever. For 12 year-old Bernie, though, the biggest day of his life is looming: his Bar Mitzvah, and the day he becomes a man. It is Bernie's fondest desire to have the most elaborate and noteworthy Bar Mitzvah possible.

However, Bernie's family is increasingly distracted by the threat of losing their business and the scale and importance of his Bar Mitzvah diminishes daily. Worst of all, the Cup Final is scheduled to take place on the same day! When England inexplicably makes it through the qualify rounds, Bernie's longed-for Bar Mitzvah look like it is going to be a complete disaster.

Or is it?
