Box Office History for Wire Fu Movies
| Wire-Fu is a term used to describe a sub-genre of Kung-Fu movies where the stuntmen skill is augmented with the use of wires and pulleys, as well as other techniques, in many cases to give the illusion of super-human ability. This can be contrasted on the one hand with Kung Fu movies that rely more on the raw talent of the stuntmen, (Jackie Chan's earlier work, for example) and on the other hand with films that rely on post production special effects to enhance fight scenes, (The Matrix Trilogy.) |
