DVD Sales: New Releases all but Gone

New releases scored four of the top five spots on the DVD sales chart this week. This includes Lucy, which opened with 367,000 units / $5.39 million.
Gone Girl was next with 157,000 units / $2.34 million for the week for totals of 616,000 units / $9.32 million after two weeks of release. The Boxtrolls was in a virtual tie for second place with 155,000 units / $2.62 million, Annabelle was close behind with 143,000 units / $2.10 million. Tyler Perrys Madeas Tough Love was a DVD only release selling 78,000 units and generating $888,000 in revenue.
Wolves opened in seventh place with 42,000 units / $437,000, while The Drop was right behind with 39,000 units / $563,000.
