"The Guru" a Cross-Cultural Hit

Despite not being a very big hit in the UK (where it was first released), Universal's Bollywood-meets-Hollywood flick The Guru is getting a warm reception in the United States.

In two weeks it has grossed a stellar $1.2 million from only 62 theatres. The film expanded to around 98 theatres on February 14 and is shaping up to be quite the draw. The film stars Jimi Mistry, Heather Graham and Marisa Tomei and is rated R.
