International Top Five - Fast Furriest of Them All

Fast and Furious remained in top shot with $34.65 million on 6361 screens in 57 markets for a total of $143.81 million internationally and $280.02 million worldwide. In Italy, the film opened in first place with $5.04 million on 414 screens over the weekend and $5.14 million in total while it managed the same feat in Australia with $5.69 million on 345 screens over the weekend and $5.88 million in total. It also placed first during its debut in China, but no box office numbers were released. The film fell more than 60% in the U.K. adding $2.82 million on 385 screens over the weekend for a total of $14.97 million after two. In Russia it performed even worse down 75% to $2.14 million on 696 screens over the weekend for a total of $12.48 million.

Despite no major markets, Monsters vs. Aliens remained in second place with a still solid $18.49 million on 6782 screens in 54 markets for a total of $126.83 million, reaching $100 million since last week. In the U.K. the film regained first place with $3.01 million on 517 screens over the weekend for a total of $25.34 million after three. This is roughly inline with its run here. The film grew by 13% in Australia adding $2.31 million on 371 screens over the weekend giving it a total of $10.95 million, also after three weeks of release.

Knowing earned third place with $10.01 million on 3221 screens in 28 markets for a total of $58.16 million. The film opened in first place in South Korea with $1.87 million on 432 screens over the weekend for a total of $2.27 million. However, it was down 55% in Spain with $1.03 million on 330 screens over the weekend for a total of $4.71 million after two.

Crank 2 - High Voltage opened in fourth place overall with $9.11 million on 1442 screens in 12 markets, which was higher that its debut here. Among the debuts were a trio of major markets, led by Russia where it made $3.61 million on 442 screens, while it was close behind in Germany with $3.14 million on 405; the film debuted in first place in both markets. On the other hand, it bombed in the U.K. with just $810,000 on 319 screens, which was only enough for fifth place. That was still better than it performed here.

OSS 117: Rio Ne Répond Plus opened in fifth place internationally with $8.74 million on 627 screens in 3 markets. This includes a first place opening in France with a calculated $8.21 million on 588 screens, while in placed fourth in both Belgium ($266,000 on 21 screens) and in Switzerland ($263,000 on 18).
