Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire won the overall box office race, the per theatre charts, and also topped the IMAX charts. Over the weekend the film made $2.8 million on 66 IMAX screens, breaking the previous record held by Polar Express at $2.7 million. That film went on to earn $45 million on IMAX, but it is very unlikely Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will beat that mark. It could, on the other hand, beat Batman Begins' record for the highest grossing 2-D Hollywood film, which was last reported at $14.5 million.
