Theater Counts

May 20th, 2005

Any way you cut it, this weekend is all about Star Wars. An opening in 3,661 theaters is the second-widest of the year so far, after Robots, and there's no question what will be dominating the headlines. The only other movie to make even a slight impression is Dominion: A Prequel to the Exorcist, which debuts in 110 venues in major cities. Its best hope is probably to pick up some of the spill-over from the Star Wars crowd.
