A Lot of Green in this Garden

August 4th, 2004

It was Zach Braff's directorial debut, Garden State, taking the top spot on the per theatre chart with an impressive $22,346 average in 9 theatres. Well behind was the overall box office champ, The Village with an average of $13,605 and Intimate Strangers with $11,167.

This past week also saw some milestones reached for several Per Theatre Charts alumnus:

  • Control Room's weekend take peaked a long time ago, but it has continued to plug along, hitting $2 million this past weekend.
  • Before Sunset hit $3 million over the weekend.
  • As expected, De-Lovely hit $5 million on Monday and for the third weekend in a row earned more than $1 million. It is now just $54 thousand from $7 million and should easily top $10m before long.
