January 7, 2003

The popular British horror film 28 Days Later might get a limited release here in the States sometime this year. The $15 million Danny Boyle-directed movie, which has grossed more then $7 mil in the UK since it opened on November 1, depicts a band of survivors of a deadly virus that has wiped out most of humanity.

28 Days Later stars Christopher Eccleston (Elizabeth) and Brendan Gleeson (Gangs of New York) and is scheduled to be screened at this month's Sundance Film Festival.
