Indiana Jones Schedule Moved Up?
February 13th, 2003
A fortuitous break in both Harrison Ford’s and Steven Spielberg’s schedules may allow the production schedule for the fourth installment of the Indiana Jones series to be moved up one year. Originally planned for a Summer 2005 release shooting could be set to begin as early as this summer with a release tentatively planned for Summer 2004.
It’s been almost a decade and a half since the last Indiana Jones film hit the theatres, and if the rumors are correct, this one will have a decidedly Lovecraftian theme. The script is being written by Frank Darabont, director of such films as The Green Mile and The Shawshank Redemption, has lots of experience with the subject matter. He has written several episodes of The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, as well as several works in the horror genre.
