Superman: And Then There were Two
March 16th, 2003
Paul Walker has taken himself out of the running for the Superman role in the upcoming sequel leaving just Brendan Fraser and soap star Matthew Bomer. All three have recently done screen tests but Paul Walker, who is best known for his role in Fast and the Furious, had an escape clause in his contract. He exercised that option this week joining Josh Harnett, who had previously reject the role.
Difficulty finding an actor willing to sign on to a three picture, seven-year deal is not the only problem facing the latest Superman movie. A projected budget of $225 million is scaring Warner Bros. and there are reports of loud fights between director Brett Ratner and producer Jon Peters.
