Architect Hopes to Build on Opening Week's Success

November 18th, 2003

My Architect topped the per theatre average charts this week with an $18,965 average in just 2 theatres. Since opening on Wednesday, the documentary has eared $50,504. Coming in second was the re-release of Federico Fellini's I Vitelloni, which took in $14,790 in its lone theatre.

The rest of the top ten was dominated by wide releases with 6 also appearing on the overall top ten.

In other news, The Station Agent, which spent three weeks on the Per Theatre Average top ten, has maintained its per theatre average very well despite seeing an significant increase in its theatre count. And now the film has surpassed $2 million at the box office. This is an excellent result for a smaller independent film that Miramax bought for just $1.5 million.
