Terminator: Genisys

Terminator Genisys remained in first place with $23.6 million in 26 markets over the weekend for totals of $320.1 million internationally and $409.5 million worldwide. In China, the film pulled in $23.4 million over the weekend for an eight-day total of $85.15 million in that market. It is going to hit the century mark in that market, while its overall worldwide number is high enough to break even.

The Hundred Regiments Offensive opened in second place with $22.97 million over the weekend in China.

Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation slipped into third place with $15.3 million in 65 markets for totals of $309.0 million internationally and $479.2 million worldwide. The film is creeping up on the franchise average and it should get there when it opens in China.

Minions cracked $1 billion worldwide before the weekend started, while over the weekend, the film pulled in $14.9 million in 61 markets. The movie now has $694.1 million internationally and $1.019 billion worldwide. It became only the third animated film to reach the $1 billion mark. The film opened in first place in Italy with $8.06 million on 884 screens over the weekend, which is the biggest opening for an animated film in that market.

The Dead End opened in third place in China with $14.0 million over the weekend for a total opening of $20.54 million.

Hitman: Agent 47 rose to sixth place with $13.1 million in 61 markets over the weekend for a total of $25.0 million after two. The film opened in second place in France with $2.07 million on 404 screens over the weekend. It only managed third place in Germany with $793,000 on 434 screens and just fifth place in Brazil with $446,000 on 228. Unless something amazing happens, the film will cost its studio, Fox, a lot of money.

Inside Out slipped a spot to seventh place with $10.9 million over the weekend for totals of $371.1 million internationally and $715.6 million worldwide. This is the fifth film from Pixar to cross the $700 million milestone. Additionally, it has yet to open in Italy, Germany, and China, so it should climb into third place on the all-time Pixar chart.

Ted 2 returned to the international chart in 8th place with $9.3 million in 45 markets over the weekend for totals of $109.0 million internationally and $190.3 million worldwide. This is enough to break even, but still a serious drop from the first film. The film opened in second place in Japan with $3.65 million on 623 screens over the weekend for a total opening of $4.73 million.

Veteran took top spot in South Korea for the fourth weekend in a row erning $7.31 million on 876 screens over the weekend for a total of $71.38 million. It is the third biggest hit in that market this year and will quickly overtake The Avengers: Age of Ultron for second place. The number one film, Assassination, will fall shortly after that.

Fantastic Four plummeted to tenth place with $6.8 million in 66 markets for an international total of $93.5 million. It should get to $100 million internationally, possibly as early as this time next week. When it does, Fox will be able to save face, but that's not enough to cover the costs.
