The film had a lot of success in Latin America breaking records for Young Adult Book Adaptation. This includes Brazil, where it earned first place with $1.62 million on 393 screens. It also earned first place in Russia with $1.89 million on 1,048 screens. On the other hand, it bombed in the U.K. with $711,000 on 338 screens.
